Mac mini is elegant, ergonomic, compact
What is a Mac mini? This is a small form factor personal computer. Screens and all peripherals are connected to it — you can buy them to suit your taste or use your own.
The new model has been released in a heavily modified design. The device has become even smaller, the dimensions of the model are 12.7× 12.7× 5 cm. In terms of compactness, it is close to the Apple TV set-top box, and looks similar to Mac Studio. The computer can be held with one palm, it does not take up much space on the table. - On the M4 Pro, the device came out with two different “fillings”. The first version has 12 CPU cores and 16 graphics cores. The second is 14 and 20, respectively. The basic “RAM” is 24 GB and 512 GB on the drive. RAM is expandable to 64 GB, and SSD — up to 8 TB.
Both Mac minis perform any task: from the simplest, such as working in office software, to highly resource—intensive ones such as 3D modeling, coding, and creating graphic content. macOS Sequoia provides a comfortable and highly productive workflow.
In the M4 version, calculations of the main chipset are 1.8 times faster. The speed of the graphics chip has increased 2.2 times compared to the M1 device.

The Mac mini on the M4 and M4 Pro has improved game graphics and 3D rendering with hardware ray tracing acceleration. It is provided by processors — glare, glow, shadows look even more realistic.
Chipsets deliver high performance even when interacting with the Apple Intelligence neural network. The M4 Pro has advanced neural cores that are 2 times faster than the M1 processor. Due to the increased memory bandwidth of the M4 Pro (273 GB/s — twice as much as other processors with AI), the neural network responds faster to queries and performs resource-intensive tasks, for example, converting 3D models into two-dimensional graphics.
Access to individual Apple Intelligence options in English will appear if you upgrade the operating system to macOS Sequoia 15.1. The set of functions will be updated in December.
Adding external devices: how many ports does the Mac mini have?
The possibilities for connecting peripherals in the new model have been expanded. The Mac mini has 8 connectors.:
- USB-C pair with USB 3 support (on the front panel);
- Three Thunderbolt 4 (M4 version) and Thunderbolt 5 (M4 Pro version) ports are located on the back of the case.;

- HDMI;
- Gigabit Ethernet for modem/router (upgraded to 10 Gbps if necessary).
Thunderbolt 5 technology provides improved data transmission and image output. The bandwidth of this interface is 120 Gbit/s (Thunderbolt 4 has 60 Gbit/s, the difference is two times).
The new product connects to a TV or an HDMI monitor without an adapter. Two 6K screens and one 5K screen are connected to the M4 device. The M4 Pro version supports three 6K displays with a 60 Hz refresh rate.
The last port in the list provides instant information download without interruptions. Gigabit Ethernet’s wireless connectivity counterparts, Wi—Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, also provide an ideal network connection.
