Technical Specifications and Configurations
The model is available in two sizes: 11 and 13 inches. The design is recognizable: the gadget continues to be the thinnest tablet of this brand — the thickness of the 13-inch model is 5.1 mm. The body is made of aluminum in two colors: Space Black and Silver. Storage capacity in different configurations ranges from 256 GB to 2 TB, with RAM ranging from 12 to 16 GB.
Display
The model features an Ultra Retina XDR screen with ProMotion technology, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate depending on the content and makes the image smoother. Thanks to True Tone technology, the color temperature is automatically adjusted depending on the lighting conditions, and OLED improves color reproduction. Light, reflections, and shadows look very realistic.
The peak brightness level is 1600 nits for HDR content, the glass does not glare and has an oleophobic coating that does not leave fingerprints. The 1 and 2 TB models feature nano-textured glass to create a matte anti-glare effect without compromising image quality. This allows for comfortable use of the device even in bright sunlight. However, keep in mind that these versions are slightly more expensive.
Network Capabilities
The device supports Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7 thanks to the new N1 network chip. The model is equipped with a new C1X modem, which provides better 5G network performance. Now transferring photos, documents, and large files won’t take long. eSIM support is available.
Camera and Sound
The 12MP wide-angle camera with Depth Control, improved bokeh mode, adaptive True Tone flash, and LiDAR scanner delivers high-quality photos in any lighting condition. The 12MP front camera supports Center Stage technology: even if you move during video calls, you’ll always be in the center of the frame.
The Apple iPad Pro M5 supports 4K ProRes video recording with cinematic stabilization. The model has four speakers and studio-quality microphones, so you can record podcasts with ease.
Power and Battery
The battery allows the gadget to play videos for up to 10 hours straight or browse the internet via Wi-Fi without recharging. If you use mobile data, it will last up to 9 hours. Using a 60W adapter, the device can be charged to 50% in just half an hour.
M5 Processor
The tablet delivers impressive performance thanks to the innovative M5 chip. Key features of this processor include:
- Accelerated AI processing thanks to Neural Accelerators in each of the ten GPU cores.
- Increased multithreaded performance thanks to a 10-core CPU.
- improved energy efficiency thanks to optimized architecture and more efficient energy use.
Apple Intelligence is integrated into everyday apps and runs 3.5 times faster than on the M4 chip and 5.6 times faster than on the M1. AI image generation in Draw Things is 2x faster than on the previous-generation processor, and AI video scaling in DaVinci Resolve is 2.3x faster. Ray-traced 3D rendering can be done 1.5 times faster, and video transcoding in Final Cut Pro is 1.2 times faster.
In terms of functionality and capabilities, the gadget can be compared to a laptop. It is ideal for artists, designers, and illustrators. You can write code, edit photos, and edit video and audio on it.
